Hey, future world leaders!
Since the last dev blog, we’ve been hard at work to put in some great background improvements so we can start to work on the Simplomacy research system, we’ve added arguments which can kick start wars and much more!
Let’s jump into it!
BUILDINGS
- Buildings can now produce resources
- Added research lab (will produce research points)
CHARACTER CREATION
- Added 5 new character backgrounds
COUNTRIES/TERRITORIES
- Added the ability to insult a country’s leader (and therefore their nation)
- Countries now start with military aircraft
- Added text which details a countries top 3 resources (excluding military)
- Added a horizontal scroller for actions
CRAFTING
- Background improvements for adding recipes
DOOMSDAY CLOCK
- Updated the Doomsday Clock graphic
EVENTS
- Countries with good relations will send each other military aid if they’re in a war
- The player now gets notified when they have a spike in volunteer soldiers
NEWS ARTICLES
- Added new icon for battle news articles
- Added new icon for military strikes articles
RESOURCES
- Tweaked how starting military resources are calculated
WAR
- Added wars ending
- Countries can now launch drone strikes against enemy buildings
- Added a chance for soldier volunteers (affects all countries)
- Soldiers dying now affects population
- Added battle outcomes as a news article
OTHER
- Lots of optimisation so people stop moaning our games are slow
- Updated UI in some areas
- Added more tips
- Code optimisation
- Updated credits list
