Hi, future world leaders! Since the last dev blog, we've now moved into version 0.2.1. To help further our communications with you, we've opened an official Discord server which you can join here!
Here's what we've added since our last development blog:
Countries/Territories
- Added ‘GDP’ (our own calculation)
- This calculation is total resources owned x market value. This is obviously different to the real-life GDP calculations for countries, but we believe it's the best way to go moving forward.
- Added sorting by alphabetical (asc, desc) when viewing countries list
- Completed background work to add historical countries
- Added North Sentinel Island
- Added Tokelau
Events
- Made events slightly more likely
- Added an event where Ambergris can be washed up (non-landlocked countries only)
Private Market
- Added a page to see what the private market has in stock
- Added the ability to see the private markets transaction history
Resources
- Added a page to view resource details (it’s no longer a pop-up!)
- Added supply/demand for resources which influences resource price
- Added market value to resource details
- Added many new resources
- Added 15 new artifacts to different countries
- Updated descriptions for loads of resources
- Revamped how resource prices fluctuate
- Added 2 new military resources
War
- Optimised belligerent flag generation when viewing war details
Other
- Added more in-game tips to loading screens
- Updated in-game social media links
- Optimised new game creation
- Optimised visual effects
- Small optimisations here and there
Bug Fixes
- Fixed artefacts being a weekly deal
- Fixed crash when you name the meteor after the spotter
