Simplomacy Dev Log #6


Hi Future World Leaders! Since the last dev blog, we've done a load of planning and now development is starting to really come together nicely! Here's what has been added to Simplomacy:

Crafting

  • Added the background coding for the crafting system

New Game

  • Added a results poll when you start a game so you can see how you beat the opposition

Private market

  • Black Friday offers a random % discount on all resources
  • Cyber Monday offers a random % discount on electronic-based resources

Resources

  • Added military drone as a resource

Territories

  • Added income and expenditure figures for all countries
  • Added citizen/leader names to a lot of territories

UI

  • Added a loading screen when creating a new game
  • Added tips to the loading screen
  • Added splash screen

war

  • Added the ability to see a list of wars (active and historical)
  • Background war improvements

World Leaders

  • Added Charismatic trait which gives a +2 starting relationship boost to all territories

Other

  • Saving/Loading improvements
  • Optimisation

Big Fixes

  • Fixed issues when creating a new game whilst already in a game
  • Fixed news articles reappearing from a previous game when creating a new game
  • Fixed social media having notifications with no posts
  • Fixed social media posts reappearing from a previous game when creating a new game
  • Fixed some resources not having names appear in-game
  • Fixed sub territories having different leaders to the main territories
  • Fixed the player's character not being set correctly on a new game
  • Fixed {Demonym} tag not working correctly
